More than a job... This is a Northern Experience
Working at Arctic Lodges is an opportunity to experience Northern Canada in its truest form. Set against vast boreal forests, pristine lakes, and endless summer skies, life in the North offers a rare balance of meaningful work and unforgettable adventure.
Welcome to Arctic Lodges
There’s something about life in Northern Canada that stays with you. The rhythm of the land, the tight-knit community, and the pride that comes from doing meaningful work in a truly remote place. Working at a remote fishing lodge like Arctic Lodges is a rare opportunity to build a career that values experience, loyalty, and personal growth. To be part of a team where coming back isn’t expected, it’s earned and genuinely wanted. At Arctic Lodges, many team members don’t just work a season, they return year after year. Our returning seasonal employees grow into leadership roles, deepen their skills, and become mentors to new staff, all while reconnecting with familiar faces in a place that feels like a second home.
THE DOCK
Working as a dockhand places you at the heart of the fishing lodge experience. As the first and last point of contact on the water, dockhands play an integral role in keeping daily operations running smoothly. From preparing boats and gear to assisting guides and welcoming guests each morning, this position is hands-on, fast-paced work that requires teamwork, reliability, and a strong respect for the lake and its conditions. In return, dockhands gain valuable skills, form close connections with staff and guests, and take pride in knowing that every successful day on the water starts and ends at the dock. In a remote Northern setting, this role isn’t just support. It’s essential.
GUIDING
Being a guide means being a leader, teacher, and steward of Northern waters. Guides are the backbone of the fishing experience, sharing their knowledge of the lake, fish behaviour, and local environment while ensuring guest safety and success on the water. Each day is shaped by weather, wildlife, and water conditions, demanding adaptability, professionalism, and strong people skills. Beyond putting guests on fish, guides create lasting memories through storytelling, patience, and genuine connection. In the North, guiding is more than a job. It’s a responsibility rooted in respect for the land and the people who come to experience it.
SERVING & HOUSEKEEPING
Front of house team members are the heartbeat of Arctic Lodges, shaping the comfort and atmosphere that guests remember long after they leave. From welcoming guests with a warm smile to keeping cabins and common spaces pristine, this role ensures the lodge feels like a true home in the wilderness. Serving and housekeeping require attention to detail, teamwork, and a strong work ethic, especially in a remote Northern setting. These team members take pride in creating a seamless, relaxing experience, knowing that comfort, cleanliness, and genuine hospitality are just as important to a great fishing trip as time spent on the water.
CULINARY
The culinary team at Arctic Lodges fuels every adventure, turning long days on the water into evenings of connection and comfort. Working in the kitchen means providing hearty, high-quality meals in a remote environment, where creativity, organization, and teamwork are essential. From early breakfasts to satisfying dinners, the culinary team plays a critical role in guest morale and staff well-being alike. In Northern Canada, great food isn’t a luxury; it’s a cornerstone of the lodge experience, and the kitchen is where energy, community, and care come together.
