Arctic Lodges customizes all of the guests trips to meet their needs. Below is a guideline of what you may expect during your stay.
Getting to our lodge and back is easy!
All you need to do is get to the Saskatoon Saskatchewan airport (YXE). Our flights depart for our lodge at 6:30 a.m. on the first day of the trip. Seeing as it is an early flight, we recommend flying into Saskatoon the night before your trip and staying at one of our recommended hotels by the airport.
After a 2 hour flight, your aircraft will land on our large private airstrip overtaking a full island in the middle of Reindeer Lake. You will be greeted by our lodge staff who are ready to help you onto the boats and transferred to the lodge, less than 10 minutes around the corner.
Once you arrive at the Lodge you can relax and have a coffee or beverage of choice and our staff will show you to your cabin. Brunch will be served before heading onto the lake and an orientation will be held. We know most are eager to get out on the water so you will be introduced to your fishing guide and out fishing before 11 a.m.
Every morning there will be a continental breakfast set up for 6 a.m. and a hot breakfast will be served in the main lodge dining room starting at 7 a.m.
Lunch will be a freshly caught shore lunch prepared by your guide while out on the lake.
Supper is three courses and served in the main lodge starting at 6:30 p.m. You will receive a menu each morning to select your dinner options.
Our shore lunches are one of the highlights of your trip. Based on experience, we pack a shore lunch basket that almost all of our guests rave about afterwards. We suggest that you try our standard shore lunch the first day and should you want anything extra or different on the following days we can let the kitchen know.
If you are on a special or restricted diet, please inform us before your trip.
The main lodge has everything you need to lay back, relax and enjoy your time while you’re not fishing. We offer a variety of game and tables, such as a casino sized poker table, pool table, chess and checkers, cards etc. Wifi is provided in the lodge as well as satellite cable TV just in case you want to watch the big game or catch up on what’s happening in the real world. Having drinks by our large fireplace is always popular and there will always be a large driftwood fire lit outside in the bonfire pit.
Breakfast will be served at 7 a.m. We ask for you to be packed and checked out of your cabin by this time so we can prepare for the next group of fisherman arriving as you’re departing. Our staff will transport your luggage to the dock where we will depart for the airstrip before 9 a.m. Your flight back to Saskatoon will be approximately 2 hours which should give you enough time to figure out your return trip to Arctic Lodges if you haven’t secured your date already.
